The Jacksonville Linux Users' Group (or JaxLUG) is a diverse assembly of Linux users (beginners, casual desktop users, system administrators, developers, and IT professionals) who have a passion for supporting Linux and Free Open Source Software (FOSS). JaxLUG is based out of Jacksonville, Florida and is open for anyone to join regardless of skill level, experience, background, profession, goals, interests, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation or geographic location. JaxLUG, originally started by Daniel Stringfield in 1996, operates under a community charter and is led by elected Officers, with oversight provided by a committee of Trustees composed of former Officers and long-standing contributing community members.
Anyone (be it local, outsider, hobbyist, professional, student, or other) is welcome to be a presenter at a regular meeting with a topic of their choosing, or one the group has requested. Contact one of the group officers and provide a "title" and "short description" of your presentation along with a list of available dates.
